<p> Crotonyl-CoA reductase is responsible for the conversion of crotonyl-CoA to butyryl-CoA. In serine cycle methylotrophic bacteria this enzyme is involved in the process of acetyl-CoA to glyoxylate [<cite idref="PUB00013842"/>, <cite idref="PUB00013833"/>]. In other bacteria the enzyme is used to produce butyrate for incorporation into polyketides such as tylosin from <taxon tax_id="1906">Streptomyces fradiae</taxon> [<cite idref="PUB00013845"/>] and coronatine from <taxon tax_id="317">Pseudomonas syringae</taxon> [<cite idref="PUB00013789"/>].</p> Crotonyl-CoA reductase
